Congratulations on being select a Speaker at the JSEM 2006 Conference!


Here are a few instructions:

  • All presentations are due by Close of Business, March 3, 2006 using the following link: http://application.ndia.org/upload/jsem/

  • In order to upload your presentation, you will need your last name, abstract number annd the day of your presentation.
  • There is no requirement for a written paper to be submitted with your presentation.
  • Please forward a small biosketch for each presenter to Emily Brown, Meeting Planner at ebrown@ndia.org, making sure to specify the day, time and track of your presentation.  This will be used by your session chair to introduce you at the time of your presentation.

Papers/Presentations

All papers accepted will be presented at the conference. It is requested that if there are multiple authors, one lead author be selected as the presenter. Please provide Emily Brown, at ebrown@ndia.org, with all authors contact information. Please note that only the PRESENTER will be listed under the presentation title in the conference schedule. All remaining authors, will be listed in the contributing author section of the conference agenda.

Presentation Format

Presentations must be submitted in PowerPoint format. Electronic presentation (LCD Projection) will be utilized at the conference. It is recommended that presenters minimize the use of embedded animation and sound, including video clips, to decrease the chances for incompatibilities.

Presentation Length

Concurrent Track presentations have generally been given a 30 minute time allotment. Typically, plan for a 25 minute presentation and 5 minutes of Q&A. Moderators will call time if you start to exceed your allocated time, as it is their job to assure that the entire conference remains on schedule.

Conference Registration

All authors/presenters must register and pay registration fees.

As you prepare your presentations for the 2006 JSEM Conference, please remember that this is an open, unclassified meeting. The attendees are from both government and industry, from the U.S., and from foreign nations. Therefore, in compliance with the U.S. Public Affairs Disclosure Policy, all presentations must be cleared for public dissemination. Government speakers should clear their presentations through their respective Public Affairs office. Industry and academia speakers making presentations related to government contracts should clear their presentations through their respective government Contracting office and Public Affairs office. If the presentations from industry and academia do not relate to a government contract, the presentations should be processed through their respective company or institution's Public Affairs office. Foreign national speakers should clear their presentations in accordance with their respective government's procedures.

The following information should assist you in preparing for the Conference. To meet the speakers' audio-visual requirements, the following will be available in each presentation room: a podium, a podium microphone, a PC-based computer with Windows XP, and SVGA data projector and screen.
